As an “Old Catholic Church,“ we here at St. Nicholas OCC take church history and the Historic Deposit of Faith very seriously. In my BLOG article “A Three Legged Stool” I discuss the three sources Catholics rely on for the formation of our doctrine and practice of faith: Holy Scripture, Holy Tradition, and the Teaching Magisterium. Taking away one of these legs cause the stool to collapse.
Modern Churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, in practice, are leaning towards the philosophy that these three pillars from antiquity are not as important as they once were. What’s your opinion?
